2025 Destination Workshops
SCOTTSDALE, AZ APRIL 14-18
This workshop will focus primarily on giving students the tools to render authentic light by carefully using correct values and rigorously maintaining color temperature relationships between light and shadow. We will follow my typical hybrid process of starting a painting on location in order to get the most accurate values and colors, but then finishing the painting in the studio.
BOULDER, CO JUNE 23-27
Join Mark for a five-day intensive plein air workshop in the beautiful Rocky Mountains outside of Boulder, Colorado. Mark will take his students high into the mountains, just west of Boulder, to paint crashing streams and epic vistas. Students will watch Mark's demo each day and then receive personalized one-on-one critiques of their work as they paint.
